“The Hermit” by Jordan Ashley Studio is a series of multi-media artworks that feature their signature “Hermits”: genderless figures in rest, encased by seashells. The Hermits play off the form of hermit crabs, heavily inspired by the tarot trope of “The Hermit”, the 9th card of the major arcana.

The Hermit card represents contemplative solitude, self reflection and inner knowledge. Through the Hermits, Jordan explores their mental landscape of experiences with isolation and healing; expressed in vibrant color, eclectic patterns and astrological symbolism.
